Day 1 : Arrival at Lima

Arrival in Lima according to your international flight schedule. Welcome by a member of our team and transfer to your hotel in the Miraflores district where you will spend your first night.

Day 2 : Flight to Cuzco and visit the city

In the morning, a transfer service will pick you up from the hotel in Lima. to the airport, for an internal flight to Cuzco. Once arriving there, you will be taken to check in at your hotel. 

After installing, you will discover the colonial city of Cuzco, the capital of the Inca Empire. during the day you will visit Koricancha (the temple of the Sun), which was the most sacred place of the Inca empire. Then we will discover the four neighbouring ruins of Qenqo, Pukara, Tambomachay and finally Saqsaywaman, the fabulous Inca wall above the city.

End of the day free in Cuzco.

Day 3 : Pisac Ollantaytambo Aguas Calientes

Discover the archaeological site of Pisac, one of the largest in the Sacred Valley. The ruins are located at the top of a hill at the entrance to the Sacred Valley. The site features impressive agricultural terraces created by the Incas and still in use today. Visit the village market.

Then on to the village of Ollantaytambo, where you'll visit its imposing Inca ruin, one of the few remaining vestiges of Inca urban architecture, with its buildings, streets and patios.

Finally, the train takes you to Aguas Calientes, the village at the foot of Machu Picchu. Here you will spend the night.

Day 4 : Machu Picchu and Montaña Machu Picchu

After breakfast, you'll leave your hotel for Machu Picchu at around 5:30 a.m. by bus.

You'll leave early, as the site is less crowded at this time of day, and the morning is a good time to enjoy the calm and ancient spirit of the continent's most famous archaeological site.

After arriving at the citadel around 6.00 am, your guide will give you detailed information about Machu Picchu and Inca history and culture. Afterwards, you can make the ascent to the Montaña Machu Picchu, from where you'll enjoy an incredible panoramic view.

(If you prefer to climb Wayna Picchu instead of Montaña Machu Picchu, we can only arrange this if there is availability when you confirm your trip).

Finally, you'll take a train back to Ollantaytambo, where you'll spend the night.

Day 5 : Maras, Moray, Chinchero, Cuzco.

Discover the open-air salt pans of Maras, where salt production dates back to Inca times. The landscape of thousands of man-made terraces is truly impressive. The Maras site is still exploited today by the locals in the form of a cooperative, and Maras salt has become renowned in gastronomy.

Then visit the Moray site, a veritable agronomic laboratory. Here, the Incas had recreated different microclimates thanks to a system of terraces, enabling them to study seeds and their yield according to altitude.

Finally, a stop in the typical village of Chinchero, where you can admire some of Peru's finest traditional costumes.

Return to Cuzco.

Day 6 : Flight Cuzco-Lima, bus to Huaraz

Morning transfer to Cuzco airport for flight to Lima.

Transfer to the bus terminal and comfortable daytime bus to Huaraz, arriving late in the day.

Day 7 : Mountain biking at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca, night in domos

Mountain bike ride from your hotel in Huaraz to the site of the domes at 3600m altitude. You'll pass through a number of country villages at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca, passing through eucalyptus forests and admiring the farmers at work in their fields.

Pass through the foot of the Qojup Valley at 3850 m altitude before descending to the site of the domes at 3600 m altitude.

Day 8 : Day off and Pachamanca

A day's rest on the site of the domes.

If your group consists of at least 6 people, our team will prepare the typical Pachamanca dish for you. Food cooked in an ephemeral stone oven built for the occasion.

You'll be able to participate by helping to build the oven and prepare the food.

A Peruvian culinary experience that's sure to impress!


Day 9 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 1

A 6-day, 5-night itinerary around the Cordillera Blanca and Peru's highest peak, Huascaran. This sporty tour is assisted. Participants will be able to choose the length of their stages according to their current fitness level. The distances indicated are the maximum possible for each stage. Your itinerary will take you from village to village, pass to valley. This tour is characterized by its authenticity, thanks to the fact that the paths taken are truly off the beaten track.

 
On the first day of the mountain bike itinerary, we'll head for Caraz. En route we'll have a first look at Huascaran, Peru's highest peak (6768m). In Caraz, we'll hop on our bikes for the 35 km descent of the cañon del Pato and its 34 tunnels. From here, we continue towards Yuracmarca through landscapes worthy of a western movie. We then begin the climb, stopping to bivouac in the village of Santa Rosa.

Day 10 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 2

The climb continues towards the villages of Mirasanta, Yanac and Tarica. After a spectacular initial steep ascent, you'll overlook the valley on a gentle, steady uphill road.  

Overnight accommodation in the typical village of Tarica is in a hostel, so you'll have the chance to take a shower.

Day 11 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 3

We'll start the day by climbing a first pass at 4180 metres altitude and then descending to the village of Pasacancha.

We then climb a second small pass to the village of Pariash Pampa, at an altitude of 3620 metres.

From here, the route takes us through magnificent eucalyptus forests on an undulating trail. We pass through beautiful villages, in particular Andaymayo, and continue on to the village of Yacubamba, where we set up camp.

Day 12 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 4

Departure from Yacubamba and ascent to Palo Seco pass at 3770 meters above sea level. Then you will begin the long descent to the typical and colorful village of Pomabamba.

Next, you will travel the road connecting Pomabamba to Piscobamba, an area with rolling hills and shaded by eucalyptus trees.

Overnight stay in an inn in Piscobamba where you can admire some peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, including the famous Chacraraju.

Day 13 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 5

Departure from Piscobamba for the longest stage of this tour.

You will start with a descent into the valley bottom and then take the road along the hillside to the south, through an arid landscape. This is where the long climb begins to the village of Yanama and then to Vaqueria, where the camp will be set up shortly after the hamlet.

But don't worry, you will have the option to cover part of this challenging stage by vehicle if you don't feel up to cycling the entire way.

Day 14 : Mountain bike around the Cordillera Blanca - Day 6

Arguably, the most spectacular landscapes await you on this day. Starting with the crossing of the Portachuelo de Llanganuco pass (4780m), which will lead you to the Llanganuco Valley and its turquoise lakes. You will then pass by mythical peaks such as Chopicalqui, Huascarans, and Huandoy.

The descent will continue to the village of Yungay, where the cycling journey will end. Transfer to Huaraz by vehicle.

Transfer from your hotel to the bus terminal. You will board a comfortable bus to Lima, where you will arrive by the end of the day.
